My name is Marie and my love for making people smile and feel beautiful started as a young girl. The beauty industry is one place where you can not only offer people your talent to help them with a new look they've been wanting but also your time, lend an ear and your heart. It's definitely my passion!

 

I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Great Lakes in 2006 and went back to obtain my Instructor's license in 2008 which was a success. This was where I met Linda Miller who was not only my instructor through both courses but became my Boss and one of my very best friends. Without her love, support and guidance throughout my beauty school and salon career I wouldn't be who or where I am today.

 

Following beauty school I worked for Linda's shop for about 13 years. I was so proud to call her Boss and will be forever. Linda always had a personality of being larger than life, kind, generous, courageous, and sky's the limit!

 

We lost Linda on September 22, 2016. This was excruciating for all who knew her, our hearts were broken. After about a year of being lost, I started to follow my dream to one day have my very own salon. With the blessing of both Linda's niece Jamie (who now owns Shear Style and has a heart and soul just like Linda) and all of my Shear Style family I was able to move forward with that dream. The Lilly Rose Color Bar and Salon is now a reality! Although leaving and starting a place of my own has been bitter sweet, I've prayed about this in depth and I know this is my path! My family and friends have been very supportive especially my parents who have put in countless hours of work, thought, strategy and love. Without them this project would not have been at all possible!!

 

I'm so excited to make this salon everything I've ever dreamed in my mind it would be! All are welcome with open arms! The Lilly Rose is and will be a place of love, comfort, style, happiness and fun!
